Design Workshop

Goal: Provides design direction for products or services that will meet end user needs. The workshops bring together cognitive engineers, graphic and industrial designers, technologists, and marketing personnel in an intensive 2-5 day session.

Resources: Typical design workshops take 1-4 weeks. The cognitive engineer and graphic designer are involved throughout; other participants are involved only during the 2-5 day workshop. The Design Workshop is typically preceded by a User Needs Analysis.

Deliverable: Set of storyboards or models that depict design directions for new or improved products or systems and that can be evaluated with end users.
