Computer Based Training

Computer Based Training has evolved:

First generation was basically digitized classroom training --linear, uniform, static, non-interactive.

Second generation added rudimentary interactivity -- student answered question, but training was still linear, uniform and static.

Third generation CBT trains each student in the same way a live teacher would - dynamically adapting to the students needs.

Fourth generation CBT isn’t CBT at all -- it’s intelligent performance support.
